Tower Stop Handcuffs

One of the problems with the Tower handcuff design is that they could lock accidentally meaning that the police officer would need to unlock the handcuffs before using them. To prevent this a spring loaded stop was added to the arm of each handcuff. This stop needed to be depress in order to allow the handcuffs to be locked. This solved the premature locking problem, but made the cuffs more difficult to use.
